About the Studio

Blind Bird Studio is a working artist studio and gallery founded by Shawna Morris and Kevin Hoover. Visitors can experience art in progress while exploring original works from local and regional artists. The studio also supports youth arts programs through an annual donation to the Blaine Fine Arts Association.

Exhibitions and Events

Second Saturday Art Walk - Ongoing

We participate on the second Saturday of every month in Blaine’s Art Walk from 4-6:30. We rotate our artwork, showcasing most recent works and works in progress.

WAST Group Show - August 2026

  • Join us as we showcase 30 unique artists as a preview to the prestigious Whatcom Artist Studio Tour in October.
  • The opening reception is Friday, July 31st from 6-8pm.
  • The show will run through August 9th.
  • Hours of operation will be Wednesday through Sunday 11-5pm and by appointment.

WAST October Show - Save the Dates

The Whatcom Artist Studio Tour is a highly appreciated and anticipated studio tour featuring artists that are accepted into the tour via juried submissions. Shawna has been accepted this year and will be live-painting throughout the event in the studio. Make sure you get your hands on the beautiful catalog that is annually presented and map out your weekends! Click here to learn more.

Wed-Sat: 11-5 and by appointment

You are always welcome to stop in if you see the lights on or the sandwich board out. If the door is locked and it’s Wed-Sat between 11-5, then pop around the corner to Living Pantry and demand entry!
